The Dance That Drinks Party

We stand in a mysterious part of the Underdark, deciding our next steps. We send Kaldur a sending asking what day it is, learning it’s “Sempter 23rd of the 4th zuccini year,” which places us a few days after we fucked everything up and left for fairy land.

Last session, we decided to go talk with the dragon we previously fought in the Underdark. We spend about 30 minutes discussing options, regardless. We settle it with a vote, and decide to go with the plan we decided last week. Harvey teleports us to where we first met Mustardo, the old duergar that we also called Mustard Pants. As we move through the tunnels, some troglodytes hail us and we speak with them. They tell us they captured “some of our friends,” and ask if we’re here to collect. We agree to get a few of them, and they offer to lead us to the dragon we want to speak with. We trade some rations, and take a walk, eventually getting to a natural-gas-laden ledge. There, after a while, we hear some rumbling, and the dragon emerges. The discussion which follows is mostly just confusing, and eventually we settle on making a request, and the dragon basically says “lol nope, gonna kill you now.” COMBAT!! - The dragon ignites the natural gas, causing significant fire damage, and filling the chamber with smoke. We argue, and agree we should book it, and Wondermitch teleports us back to Clan Sussil territory. Well, except for Kit, who stays behind. And dies.

Meanwhile, the rest of the party pops back up in the Clan Sussil rich marketplace. They go to buy some scrolls, cause a ruckus, and decide to just bum-rush the Scrivenbough. As they approach, they realize the building appears to be breathing. They get to the door, find it closed, locked, arcane-locked, and significantly magically trapped. They knock, nothing happens, and they decide to dimension door inside. There, they find a giant serpent skull hanging by tendrils of flesh. It has space for a third eye. The floors appear to be of red marble, though they seems slightly squishy. They take the stairs down, and after a bit, see another party led by the matriarch coming up the stairs.

We call it there for the night.
