The Dance That Drinks Party

We keep moesying down the river, until eventually we’re done on the river! We disembark, travel on foot for a bit (seeming a long while, longer than a usual day), before setting up a secure shelter and getting some rest. Harvey gets rest, and while the remainder of the party is starting to rest, a drunken satyr shows up, declaring it “PARTY DAY!” and we party! We even made a cake! PARTY DAY!!

Anyway, party day dies down a bit, and we drink some “coffee” (aka, Lesser Restoration), and make our way into a glade where a fancy fey lady is having like a luncheon or something. There’s some frowny faces, and turns our some folks here don’t like Harvey, and so now he has to do a duel! Kit and Krit start taking bets, and Krit slips Harvey a few potions during a “pep talk”, and then the fight is on!! After some back-and-forth, Harvey wins the duel! We are permitted to continue, and travel for a bit before setting up another secure shelter and getting some rest.

We move through the woods, as they grow larger and broader. A raven passes by, telling us to turn back. Jane tells is to go away, and it does. A bit further, we come to a raven-man, named Veld. He tells us to turn back, and we refuse, and so it’s FIGHT NIGHT IN CANADA!! - After a rather tough fight, we manage to survive! Harvey gets some fancy feathers, but otherwise it melts away.

We continue through the woods, and before long hear some craazy sounds, and Jane tells us that’s a Bandersnatch, and that we gotta run. She tells us it has 23 HD, using the appropriate in-game equivalent terms. Harvey tries, real hard, and finally succeeds in finding the way through the woods to the Ruined Bridge, which leads into the realms of the Forgotten Lord, the Crumbling Tower. The Bandersnatch relents.

Harvey speaks with a bunch of the Forgotten dudes, and learns some stuff. Well, not really. We rest, and the steward of the Forgotten Realms manages to open a portal to House of Eternity, the realm of Shika the Many. After some shenanigans and warnings, we make our way inside. A dude gives us directions to Shika (“walk that way for a day, and you’ll find her researching water tables”), and we start walking. We eventually arrive to find Shika - a lady of constant shifting appearance, from tall with dark complexion, to short with blue complexion and bubblegum robes. She looks at us, seems to recognize Harvey, and then, after centering herself, hands Harvey a book with a scrunched face. The book will teach us how to banish someone (such as ourselves) to the Realm of Lost Hope. She also tells us that the book we need to open the Red Door, and bargain for the sword, is in the Scrivenbough. She also tells us it has cost us 2 years. She advises we travel to a vestabule, 2 days away, to read and learn, and she will meet us there after we have finished, and see how she can help us.

Along the way, we find some crying snakemen, and make them happy again by making whole a paper crown they had.

Getting to the vestabule, Harvey steps inside and is immediately bombarded by many sendings, all at once. Checking the note that Kit asked for, Shika writes that: Sheila G is missing; Boobons is dead; Kaldur Black was betrayed and is dead; Calcifer is the only force fighting the Dark Tapestry, primarily the cult of Nyarlathotep, in the form of The Haunter in the Dark. After learning all this, Shika offers us the chance to travel through the time tunnel, back to a time before too many things got fucked up. She also tells us that, if Calcifer wins, he’ll shift the material plane into a plane of his own making and ownership. We decide to travel through the tunnel of time.
